"Movies & Football" - Jill

Our first full weekend spent in Hayward/San Fran was filled with friends, films, football, and Fall : )

On Friday, Jill and I went out to eat with our new friend Heather, who is also a travel SLP working in our district's middle school. We ate in San Mateo, a smaller city located just across the San Mateo bridge and 20 min. south of San Fran. We dined at an authentic Italian restaurant, and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. TGIF. TGIF.

We had such a good time that the party continued into Saturday! And by "party," I mean movies, movies, Pizza Hut, and more movies. After some exercise, laundry, and unpacking (finally!), the three of us watched Changing Lanes, The Lucky One, and The Blind Side (all great). Perfect day, given the craziness of the past two weeks. It was also rainy, so movies and sweats were a given!

Today, Jill and I wrapped up our relaxing weekend with some football. We had a fun (and suuuper sunny) day at the 49ers game - despite them AND the Bills losing...lame). And like I said in my first post, we wore our Bills jerseys, and it was perfect and necessary. Sure, we got some "this is a red bus" and "buffalo? you're at the wrong game," but mainly it was "buffalo! what brings you to california?" and "enjoy your stay in cali." Pretty nice people - and thank goodness...because we wouldn't have enjoyed the alternative.

Us at Candlestick Park. Go Bills!
...and 49ers!?!
It was 60 degrees today (OUTSIDE of the stadium). What? Ugh.

So, another work week begins. Talk about working for the weekends!
Dad comes this Thursday until Sunday, yay! We're thinking Napa/Sonoma (a.k.a wine).
Oh, and let's all keep our fingers crossed for a job for Jill...

Luv,
Emily

Emily: So what companies are you going to call tomorrow?
Jill: ...Ghostbusters.

Night!
